Dr. Woodrow Johnson, Jr. is a 1989 graduate of Francis Marion High School located in Marion, Alabama. In 1991, he earned a diploma and certification in Industrial Electronics from Wallace Community College in Selma, Alabama. Dr. Johnson accepted his call to ministry; licensed in June of 1996. A year later, in March of 1997, he was ordained at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Dr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry from Selma University (Selma, Alabama) in 2002. In 2005, he graduated with his Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center, Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2011, he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Johnson was installed as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Inc. in September 2018. As a Leader: Dr. Johnson is a laborer for Jesus the Christ and has dedicated his life and call to fulfilling the spiritual needs of God’s people. As an Educator: Dr. Johnson is a firm believer in studying God’s Word to effectively apply and teach the Word. His talents, gifts and skills have developed to proclaim to others that which is “profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.” As a Community Supporter: Dr. Johnson is committed to Christ and believes as God’s servant, support is a vital part of community growth. As a Family Man and Father: Dr. Johnson is a devoted husband and father. He is married to Rev. Faith Johnson and is the proud father of four. He loves his children and is a protector and provider for them. |
